Arizona State Fair Kicks off
First Ever 5K Fun Run/Walk

On your Mark, Get Set, Go - to the Fair
Participants in the first-ever Arizona State Fair 5k Fun Run/Walk will take their mark on Sunday, Oct. 18. This fun-family event is geared to all age levels and athletic abilities. The Run will start at 8 a.m., Walk kicks off at 8:05 a.m. and the Free Kids Dash will begin at 9 a.m.

The route begins and ends at the Fair and winds through flat city streets. All participants are invited back to enjoy the Fair with return admission tickets for themselves and four guests.

Medals will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers in 14 different age group, ranging from 12-years and under through 80-years plus. All entrants will receive a t-shirt, refreshments and a chance to win great door prizes including carnival rides, running shoes, concert tickets and dinner certificates.

The registration fee is $20 by Oct. 12; $22 from Oct. 13 - Oct. 17; day of the race is $25 per person; and kids can register free for Kids Dash. Register on-line at Active.com. For more information visit the Fair website at www.azstatefair.com/5k or www.runningmasters.net.
